Enrollment Process

Getting Started at Barbara's Babies

To enroll your child at Barbara's Babies, you'll need to complete several forms and provide required documentation. We make this process as simple as possible while ensuring all state licensing requirements are met.

  • Enrollment Form - Basic information about your child and family
  • Registration Form - Emergency contacts and authorized pickup
  • Proof of Immunizations - Current vaccination records required
  • Handbook Acknowledgement - Signed agreement to policies
  • Tuition Agreement - Payment terms and schedule
  • USDA Food Program Forms - Nutritional program enrollment
Priority Enrollment
Children are placed on a waiting list if space is unavailable, with priority given to siblings of currently enrolled families.

Daily Items for Your Child

Clothing Requirements

  • Comfortable clothes for active play and messy activities
  • Weather-appropriate attire for outdoor activities
  • Complete change of clothes (two sets recommended)
  • Slip-proof socks for indoor play (provided or bring your own)
  • No flip-flops or open-back shoes for safety

For Infants & Toddlers

  • Diapers and wipes (parents provide all diapering supplies)
  • Any special comfort items for nap time
  • Bottles and formula if not breastfeeding
Please Do Not Bring: Personal toys (except security items for nap), outside food (we are NUT-FREE), electronic devices, or jewelry that could pose safety risks.

Keeping Your Child Safe and Healthy

Illness Policy

Children must be fever-free (under 100.4°F) for 24 hours without medication before returning to care. Parents will be contacted to pick up children showing signs of:

Fever
Temperature of 100.4°F or higher
Vomiting
Any episodes during care
Diarrhea
Loose or frequent stools
Severe Coughing
Persistent or concerning cough
Unexplained Rash
Without doctor's clearance
Lethargic Behavior
Unusual tiredness or behavior

Safety Measures

  • Regular emergency drills (fire, lockdown, weather)
  • Comprehensive safety protocols throughout facility
  • Background-checked and trained staff with current CPR/First Aid
  • Secure facility with controlled access
  • Daily health and safety inspections
Medication Policy
Prescription medications must be in original containers with physician's instructions. Over-the-counter medications require written physician's orders.

Healthy Meals & Snacks

Barbara's Babies participates in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. All meals served meet USDA nutrition standards and provide balanced, healthy options for growing children.

  • Nutritious breakfast served between 8:30-9:15 AM
  • Healthy lunch served between 11:30 AM-12:15 PM
  • Afternoon snack provided after nap time
  • Regular hydration with water throughout the day
  • Weekly menus posted for parent reference
  • Special dietary needs accommodated with physician documentation
NUT-FREE FACILITY: We maintain a completely nut-free environment for the safety of children with allergies. Please do not bring any outside food.

Tuition & Payment

Investment in Your Child's Future

Tuition Rates

  • Full-time care: $250 per week (available 3, 4, or 5 days per week)
  • Subsidized families: Responsible for portion not covered by assistance
  • Registration fee: One-time fee due at enrollment

Payment Policies

  • Invoices delivered by Wednesday for the following week
  • Payment due by Friday at 6:00 PM
  • Late fee: $10 if unpaid by Friday, plus $5 per day (max 5 days)
  • Suspension after 5 days overdue until payment received
  • Termination if payment not received within 30 days
Schedule Changes: Any reduction in days or schedule changes must be submitted in writing with two weeks notice, or tuition continues to be charged.
